Undefeated heavyweight Michael Coffie will face Jonathan Rice at the FOX PBC Fight Night Main Event and FOX Deportes on Saturday, July 31st from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
Coffie was originally slated to face former title challenger Gerald Washington, who was forced to retire after testing positive for COVID-19.
The FOX broadcast starts at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT and will also see James Martin perform in an eight-round rematch in the co-feature event against welterweight contestant and New Jersey native Vito Mielnicki Jr.
By 10 o’clock. ET / 7 p.m. PT after the FOX broadcast will be the FS1 PBC Fight Night, spearheaded by veteran and Olympic third party Andre Dirrell, who is making his second light heavyweight division while competing in a 10-round bout against Philadelphia’s Christopher Brooker occurs. The FS1 show also shows the undefeated feather-light candidate Maliek Montgomery against Angel Contreras in a 10-round attraction and the welterweight candidate Paul Kroll against Justin DeLoach in a 10-round showdown.

The non-televised undercard will feature undefeated New Jersey player Norman Neely (8-0, 7 KOs) in a six-round heavyweight attraction against Philadelphia-born Juan Torres of Texas (6-3-1, 3 KOs). Super lightweight Karl Dargan (19-1, 9 KOs) fought in an eight-round draw against Ivan Delgado (13-3-2, 6 KOs) from Los Angeles against Keeshawn Williams from Maryland (7-0-1, 2 KOs) against Noah Kidd of Missouri (6-3-2, 5 KOs in six rounds welterweight and Newark’s own Michael Anderson (20-3-1, 14 KOs) in a six-round welterweight bout against DeMarcus Rogers of Tennessee (14- 3-1, 5 KO).
The action night is rounded off by Denville, New Jersey’s Nicky Vitone, who wants to remain undefeated in a four-round welterweight bout against Jordan Rosario. Malik Nelson of New Jersey in a four-round super featherweight matchup against Alejandro Ramirez.
