The scores were 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93.
Less than a year ago, Harper was competing at super featherweight.
Harper was proving too quick for Rankin, who was having trouble catching up with the smaller fighter. A right hand opened a serious cut over Rankin’s left eye in the third.
As the fight unfolded, Rankin had his moments, but Harper was too precise and quick for Rankin.
