Juventus have been dealt a transfer hit as it appears Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is closing in on a new deal with Lazio.
The Serbian midfielder has been one of the best players at his position in Serie A in recent seasons.
His performances have seen the best clubs in Europe circulate and Juve want to win the race for his signature.
It hasn’t been an easy task though, with Lazio insisting on paying a huge transfer fee and Juve not having all the money.
The biancoceleste have been determined not to sell him, unless they receive a big money offer because they consider him a key member of their team.
They are now close to keeping him and a report via Tuttomercatoweb reveals that the midfielder is likely to sign a new contract worth around €5m per season.
Juve FC says
Lazio will be in trouble if they lose Milinkovic-Savic and that could be the reason why they still want to keep him.
The midfielder also seems settled in the club and it will cost him a lot to join.
In the first place, you have to agree to pay for the transfer of Lazio, which is not a small thing. If the midfielder is still expensive for our budget, then we can move on to other targets.
