Liverpool were disappointed after the FA won their appeal for more serious measures after Jurgen Klopp got into trouble for his angry protests directed at the refereeing team during a 1-0 win over Manchester City.
The German has since been handed a one-match touchline ban, just 24 hours before the Reds take on Southampton, and sat in the main stand at Anfield according to a tweet from Echo’s Ian Doyle.

A win today would see the Merseysiders secure their fourth win in a row this season; the first time this will have happened in the current campaign.

It’s a shame the German can’t communicate more directly with his players on the pitch, although we’re sure his right-hand man Pep Lijnders will be more than up to the challenge.
The team will then head off to what we hope will be a more than productive training camp in Dubai during the World Cup in Qatar, superbly well placed for any player leaving the competition early.
