Juventus have been named as one of the clubs interested in signing José Giménez from Atlético Madrid.
The defender is no longer considered untouchable at the Spanish club after his disappointing UCL campaign.
They are prepared to take advantage of him, which has sparked Juve’s interest in his signing.
However, it will not be cheap and a report from Tuttomercatoweb ensures that Atleti values him at 40 euros.
Ideally, Juve should be able to afford that fee, but the defender has other suitors for his signature.
The report adds that AS Roma and Chelsea also hold an interest in him and will be Juve’s competitors for his signing.
Juve FC says
We need to strengthen our team for the future in the next transfer window or at the end of this season.
Our defense is a point we need to fix and Giménez seems experienced enough to help us.
His take-no-prisoners defensive approach makes him a good partner for Gleison Bremer and they could be the ideal center backs for us long term.
If we have a serious interest in him, we need to start acting now and land the Uruguayan as soon as we can.
Delaying our approach could cause it to join another suitor and force us to find alternate targets.
