Newcastle United are looking for a squad overhaul during the January transfer window and are prepared to cash in on some of their marginal players mid-season.
According to a Football Insider report, club captain Jamaal Lascelles will be available for transfer in January. The experienced defender has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of the likes of Sven Botman. He needs to leave the club to be able to play regular football in the first team.
Meanwhile, the likes of Ryan Fraser and Matt Ritchie have also slipped down the pecking order at Newcastle, and Eddie Howe is poised to capitalize on them and invest the money in the playing team.
Furthermore, Jamal Lewis could also be sold by the club in January. The defender came from Norwich with a lot of promise, but so far he has not been able to live up to expectations.
Lewis is still quite young and could get his career back on track with regular football at another club.
