Wayne Hennessey was sent off for Wales at the World Cup after bringing down the Iranian attacker with a karate kick to the head.
Wales will have been desperate for a win after only managing a draw in their first game. With England still to play, not winning against Iran would have been catastrophic for their chances of qualifying.
Hennessey certainly didn’t help the situation. The Wales goalkeeper ran from his line to meet the Iran attacker, before performing a karate kick to the striker’s head.
